Truma Unveils the CombiNeo: A Game-Changer for Caravan and Motorhome Heating
We received the following press release from Truma, which promises to deliver continuous hot water. Let us know what you think.
Hot showers on demand and flexible heating options make the new CombiNeo one of the stand-out launches at Caravan Salon 2025.
Truma, one of Europe’s best-known names in caravan and motorhome technology, has lifted the wraps on its latest innovation – the CombiNeo heating system – at this year’s Caravan Salon in Düsseldorf.
The new unit has been designed to answer one of touring’s most frequent frustrations: a reliable and continuous hot water supply. With the CombiNeo, hot water is available in just three minutes, while a full shower is ready after only eight minutes of heating. That means everyone in the van can enjoy a proper wash without the stop-start planning of traditional water heaters.

Instant Comfort: How It Works
The CombiNeo is based on the principle of an instant water heater. Once warmed, it delivers a steady supply of hot water, whether you’re washing dishes or queuing up for the shower block inside your own motorhome.
| Performance | Details |
|---|---|
| Hot water ready | 3 minutes |
| Hot shower ready | 8 minutes |
| Water flow rate | 3.5 litres/minute* |
| Heating modes | Gas, Electric (3kW), Hybrid (up to 7kW) |
*Dependent on supply of gas, electricity and water, and the lifespan of the product.
Gas, Electric or Both
Flexibility is key. The CombiNeo can run purely on gas, purely on electricity, or in hybrid mode, which combines the two for maximum punch.
- Electric only (3kW): Ideal when hooked up on site, keeping things quiet, efficient and emission-free.
- Gas only: A reliable option when wild camping or off-grid.
- Hybrid (up to 7kW): When fast heat and maximum output are needed.
Built Around Real Touring Needs
Truma says the CombiNeo was developed in direct response to feedback from the camping community. Aside from water performance, space-saving and weight reduction were central to the design. The unit has undergone extensive testing to ensure it copes in all weathers – from crisp winter mornings to damp, chilly autumn tours.
About Truma
Founded in 1949, Truma has become a household name among European caravanners and motorhomers. From heaters and air conditioning to water systems and manoeuvring aids, the brand has built its reputation on reliable kit designed by people who camp themselves.
Still family-owned after 75 years, the company employs nearly 1,000 staff worldwide, with bases in the UK, Italy, Sweden, USA, China and Australia.
Final Word
With its mix of speed, efficiency and flexibility, the CombiNeo looks set to raise the bar for on-board heating and hot water systems. For many tourers, the days of rationed showers and lukewarm washing up could be coming to an end.
